The goal of the game is to take as many tricks as possible and reach a score of 10 or more before your opponents. The game is played in pairs, with your partner sitting opposite you, and the deals being played clockwise. Each player is dealt five cards, and the game starts by choosing a trump suit.

Tips

• In the first round, you can choose the trump suit by selecting a card from the center pile.
• If no trump suit is chosen in the current round, a second round follows.
• In the second round, you must choose any suit of cards except for the one you passed in the previous round.
• If the trump suit is not chosen in these two rounds, the cards are reshuffled and a new game begins without changing the dealer.
• Once a trump suit is chosen, the game can start.
• If you choose a trump suit in the first round, the card in the center pile is passed to the dealer of the cards.
• As the dealer, your name is marked with an encircled "D." If the trump suit is chosen in the first round, you receive the trump card and must discard any card of your choice.
• The player next to the dealer, in a clockwise direction, is the first to choose a trump suit.
• If that player passes, then the next player after him follows.
• The game is played between two teams: a top-bottom team consisting of you and a computer player and a left-right team of computer players.
• The player and their partner are called "makers" if one of them chooses a trump suit. Otherwise, they are called the "defenders."
• To win, the makers must take at least three tricks. The defenders, in order to win, must also take at least three tricks.
• If the makers take five tricks, they score two points. If the defenders take three or more tricks, they also score two points.
• If the makers take three or four tricks, they score one point. If the makers take less than three tricks, they score zero points.
• There is the possibility of playing alone by selecting the "play alone" button when choosing the trump suit.
• When playing alone, the team scores four points if the maker takes all five tricks. Otherwise, if the team takes three or four tricks, they score only one point.
• There is a specific order of the trump cards. The trump Jack is the most valuable card, followed by the Jack of the same-color suit. For example, if the trump suit is hearts, the most valuable card is the Jack of hearts followed by the Jack of diamonds. These cards are followed by the Ace, King, Queen, 10, and 9.
• There are only 24 cards in the deck - 6 from each suit.
• The order of the cards in the other suits is Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, and 9.
• The Jack of the same color as the trump suit is considered part of the trump suit.
• You can start a trick with any card but must follow suit or play any other card if you cannot follow suit.
• The trick is won by the player who plays the highest Trump or highest card of the starting suit.
• To win the game, you must be the first to score 10 or more points.
• There is a statistics menu where you can view the total games played, percentage of games won, number of rounds played, and number of euchres made.
• If you, as a defender, take three or more tricks, you achieve a euchre.
• If you, as a maker, take fewer than three tricks, you have been euchred.
• The makers are marked with an "M," and the player who chose the trump is marked with a bold "M."
• The defenders are marked with a "D."
